Provenance
Provenance
Sculpted from rich, earthy red clay, each piece blends artisanal heritage with rustic elegance, embodying centuries of Peruvian craftsmanship. The pottery is hand-thrown and hand-painted by skilled local artisans we’ve been working with since the 1980s. This long-standing relationship ensures that each piece reflects both Ivy at Home’s design heritage and the artisan traditions of its makers.
Every plate, bowl, and mug in our collection bears the signature of Lynn von Kersting, co-owner of The Ivy and the creative force behind our iconic tableware. These are the very same dishes used in The Ivy restaurants in Los Angeles.
The Ivy at Home is a family business, founded and lovingly operated by Lynn von Kersting, Richard Irving, and their daughter India. Each piece carries the warmth and charm of our family’s story — and we’re honored to share that with you at your table.

Care Guide
Our Ivy at Home hand-thrown, hand-painted pottery is both dishwasher-safe and oven-safe, making it as functional as it is beautiful.
To preserve the original finish and ensure your pieces stay in pristine condition for years to come, we recommend hand washing whenever possible.
You may occasionally hear popping sounds as the pottery adjusts to temperature changes—this is completely normal and part of the character of our rustic ceramic style.
Similarly, over time you may notice small grey markings on the surface. These are not cracks, but a natural result of the red clay firing and glazing process, intentionally preserved as a hallmark of our handmade aesthetic.
Each piece is unique in color, shape, and detailing, and we celebrate this individuality. We encourage you to mix and match across different batches and patterns—this layered, collected look is at the heart of true Ivy style.
